Privacy policy
Last updated 2026-10-19
This policy explains what personal data unsubs.org collects, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can: you can browse the whole catalog without an account and without giving us anything.
Who we are
unsubs.org is run by Kardelen Social Media (KvK 92472656), Parklaan 54a, 5613 BH Eindhoven, the Netherlands ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us at info@unsubs.org about anything in this policy.
What we collect and why
Server logs
Like any website, our server receives your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time. We use this to deliver pages, keep the site secure and fix errors (legitimate interest). Logs are kept for a short time and are not used to build profiles.
Analytics
We use Umami, a cookieless analytics tool, to count page views. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not identify you; we see aggregate numbers such as visits per page and referring sites (legitimate interest).
If you accept analytics cookies in our cookie banner, we also load Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited. It sets cookies
(_ga, _ga_*) to tell visits apart and collects pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser
details. Google may process this data outside the EU under its own safeguards. We use Google's Consent Mode with advertising
storage denied and run no ads. Nothing from Google loads until you accept (consent). You can withdraw consent at any time
using , also linked in the footer;
we then stop sending data and delete the Google Analytics cookies.
Your cookie choice
We remember whether you accepted or declined analytics in your browser's local storage, so we don't ask on every page. It never leaves your device.
Tool suggestions
When you suggest a tool, we store what you enter in the form: product name, website, pricing, notes and, if you give it, your email address. We use your email only to reply about your suggestion (legitimate interest, or the contract when you ask for a paid fast-track review). We keep suggestions as long as they are useful for running the catalog; ask us and we will delete your email address from them.
To keep bots out, the form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 from Google Ireland Limited: once you start filling it in, your browser loads reCAPTCHA, which sends Google information about your browser and how you use the page so it can score whether you are a person (legitimate interest in preventing spam). Google's privacy policy applies. We also count suggestions per IP address in memory for an hour to limit automated sending; we don't store the address with your suggestion.
Payments
Fast-track reviews and other offers are paid through Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe's pages, not ours. We receive a confirmation, your email address and the amount, and keep payment records as long as tax and accounting law requires. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the data it processes.
Advertisers
If you email us about a sponsored slot or a Verified badge, we use your name, email and company details to handle the order and keep invoices as the law requires (contract and legal obligation).
Outbound links and sponsored listings
Links to products go through /go/… on our site. For sponsored listings we count impressions and clicks as plain
totals, so we can report them to the sponsor; we don't record who clicked. Some links are affiliate links, and the vendor's site
may then set its own cookies to credit us with a sale. Their privacy policies apply once you leave unsubs.org.
Product icons
We fetch product icons ourselves and serve them from our own server, so viewing the catalog makes no requests to those vendors.
Admin sign-in
The admin area, used only by us, is protected by Google reCAPTCHA and by counting failed sign-ins per IP address in memory.
Who we share data with
We don't sell personal data. We use these processors: our hosting provider, Contabo GmbH (Munich, Germany); Stripe for payments; Google for analytics (only with your consent) and for reCAPTCHA on the suggestion form; our email provider to receive and answer email. We disclose data to authorities only when the law requires it.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, the UK or a similar jurisdiction, you can ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, a portable copy, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest or withdraw consent at any time. Email info@unsubs.org. You can also complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch data protection authority, or to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
The site is not aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
We will update this page when what we collect changes, and change the date at the top. See also our terms of use.
